Milk and Soda Study: Case Nursing School Looking for Volunteers

Ok, as a Clevelander, if I named it I’d call it the “Milk and Pop” study.    Kim Novak Proctor over at asked me to share this with all of you.    Volunteers are still needed, the details are as follows:

If you have children who are between the ages of 8 and 11, we need your help!

You will be compensated for your time! Both you AND your child(ren) will receive a $5 TARGET gift card.

Dr. Arax Balian in the Case Western Reserve University Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing is conducting a research study on drinking milk and soda.

This study will help researchers learn about drinking milk and soda in mothers and their 8 to11 year old children who do not have a history of feeding difficulties from neurological and muscular disorders and diabetes.

(1) You and your child will each be asked to fill out a questionnaire about what you eat and drink in a typical day or week. All of your answers are confidential. The questionnaire will take about ten minutes to complete.

(2) You and your child’s weight and height will be measured.

Dr. Balian and her staff will be administering this 10 minute survey in September at a local library, locations to be set on the east side and west side.

If you would like to participate, please click here, fill out the form and in the Comments section, tell us the best way to reach you. We’ll contact you and set-up a collection time and day.

Thanks, Moms!

  1. By the way, MommyFuel tells me, “We are trying to honor all requests. Collection of data will be at the Mayfield Heights Library OR possibly your home!” Just in case you were curious, as I was. 🙂
