Bike the Trail, Ride the Rail for $2 a Person

Through the month of October, take a bike ride along the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail in one direction, then hop aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and for $2 the train will take you back to where you began.    Fall months should be particulatly enjoyable with the beautiful foliage.

The hubby and I take the kiddo regularly to the part of the Towpath in Brecksville at the Station Road Bridge, it’s right near the end of the Brecksville Reservation in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.    Our 4 year-old son can ride in either direction easily from here, as the paths don’t have any steep inclines and it’s a beautiful ride.    Unfortunately, the hubby and I have yet to purchase our own bicycles.     But, after seeing the train drop off and pick-up several riders a few weeks ago in Brecksville, we’re ready to make the buy, and cannot wait to take the kiddo on this adventure many times next year!

Details and schedule can be found at:   http://www.cvsr.com/bikeaboard.aspx

If you go, let me know what parts of the trail you like to bike and if there’s anything interesting to see along the way!

Until next time,

Lorelei
