Playing with the Kids

We are very fortunate to have lots of youngs kids in our neighborhood who our son loves to join in playing.     I was just reading this article Playing Together…Learning Together, about how kids love to play with their parents.    This week, our son’s favorite game seems to be after bathtime, to go into the living room, get a running start, and race into his bedroom to “tip over mommy” or “tip over daddy”.    We get down on all fours and he races in and jumps on top of us, knocking us over on our backs.    He does this over and over again.    He just loves playing with us and making up new games.

This article does have one really fun sounding idea that I can’t wait to try:

Make bubble art. Mix about a 1 cup of bubble solution with about 1-2 tablespoons of washable tempera paint. Hang a piece of paper outside (use binder clips to hang on a fence) and have your child blow bubbles at the paper.

If I try it, I’ll let you know how it goes!

Until next time,

Lorelei
